Mijn lief nam gisteren De Hulk mee naar huis. Speciaal voor mij omdat mij dat zo'n leuk idee leek: de groene Hulk op onze groene kast. En gelukkig had ik gelijk: hij staat beeldig bij de rest. Natuurlijk praat ik over de beste man op een A3-tje en niet de real deal. Ja ik als groot fan van de Marvel film geloof heilig in De Hulk, Spiderman en al hun collega's. :D
En omdat ik immers wat nieuwe masking tapes heb besloot ik de Thonet stoel wat op te pimpen. De stoel heeft vroeger bij mijn lief zijn ouders gestaan en heeft al enig make-over gehad (lees: reparatie) maar hij kon nog best wat kleur gebruiken. Blij toch?!
Yesterday my sweetheart brought home The Hulk. He did that especially for me as I thought it would be a good idea, a green guy on our green cabinet and luckily I was right. He looks lovely there with all the other things. Of course I mean the dear man on a poster format and not the real deal. Me being a big fan of the Marvel movie, I'm sure The Hulk, Spiderman and all of their colleagues really do exist. :D
And because I bought some new masking tapes the other week, I decided to pimp our Thonet chair. It once belonged to my sweetheart's parents and it already had a few make overs (read: repairs) so it could use some colour. Fun right?!
Just like a few weeks ago another picture with so many things to see. I love all these pots hanging there and that little cabinet with all the books and colourful bowls. It just looks so incredibly cosy.

I feel quite blah lately. Don't be afraid, I'm not going to complain too much. It's just that I wish everything in my life could be different. Except from my sweetheart of course. The easiest thing for me to change right now is our interior. Been thinking of adding a few more colours to our living room. I've decided yellow for sure and perhaps warm orange and/or red as well. Zapping through the channels I got inspired by a Dutch TV show, GTST. I'm not a fan of this show, I must mention. But they had this storage Lego head as a flowerpot. I thought it was such fun idea, I had to have it. And I think it's so cute, don't you agree?! In the other pictures are a few new things in our home which I'm also very pleased with. :D
We can all use it from time to time: something to cheer you up. And colours work wonders, especially in these beautiful pics.

I could so live here. This really is my kinda thing. This apartment in Madrid just oozes playfulness and fun. Those colours and materials look like a match made in heaven, I simply adore it. And I love what they did with the bedroom, wow wow wow! :D
I love colour, I need colour. As much as I adore the grey tones, I need to have colour around me. That's why these pictures below made me extra happy. Have a fab sunday y'all!
A few weeks ago I wrote that I wanted our living room to have a few hints of the industrial style. I'm no where ready yet, but made a few starts. Like with the coffee table. At first we removed the legs and replaced them with casters. But I didn't like the colour of the wood anymore, so we sandpapered it. I really like the result and so there's no need of buying a new table. :P
As you may know my big love and myself, we went to Paris last week. I was hoping to buy loads of things for our home, so we visited quite some interior stores. One of them was Lafayette Maison at Galeries Lafayette. The first moment we stepped in we saw all these colourful balls in many different transparent tubes. Curious as we are, we wanted to know what was going on with the thousands and thousands of balls. And as it turned out you can design your own garland of lights. Each light of that garland is covered with a ball. You can buy an electric wire, available in four colours, consisting of 20, 35 or 50 lights and then you can pick your own fave coloured balls. Doesn't it sound like fun?! They're from La Case de cousin Paul. Unfortunately you can't buy them here in The Netherlands but you can buy them online. We choose the colours we have in our livingroom and I am ever so happy with the garland as it looks so fabulous. And we had the perfect spot to hang it and let it shine. Fun fun fun!
On a rainy day like today here in The Netherlands, I wanted to spread some colour into blog world. Gorgeous and fun right, this home taken from Bolig Pluss?!
I have this love-hate thing with the cupboard. It holds lovely memories, but on the other hand I don't find it the greatest cupboard I've ever seen. So I decided to paint it with chalk paint...and wow, I fell back in love again. We choose this lovely green colour which goes with a lot of our accessories and we bought new handles as well. It was quite a bit of work, but I'm very pleased with it. Here some before and after pictures.
Today I've been changing a few things at our place. I told about wanting to bring in some more colour here. And that I was sick and tired of the B&W pictures in the frames. Bit by bit we are changing those. My boyfriend knows his way round the Macbook and printers, so he made me some gorgeous COLOURED vintage posters...yay! We used to have a London map hanging above the piano. And even though that's still one of my fave cities and it's not even a B&W poster, I wanted to get rid of it. Instead we put a vintage one up and I love it. And check the difference in the stairway...
I also put some different stuff in the printers drawer. I think it looks more summery this way. When the sun doesn't shine outside, you must bring it in right?!
When we walk up the stairs towards our second floor, there's this rim where we can put all sort of things. At the moment we have two framed pictures of M.C. Escher standing there.
But I like to change it into something colourful as I sort of had it with the B&W, for now. So I started to check out AllPosters and found some pretty posters with lots of colour. Now see what boyfriend thinks of those. Though he always lets me do my thing, I like to hear his opinion... <3
I'm a huge sucker for colour. Colour up on the walls and coloured accessories. There's not one wall left in our house with no colour. It brights the room and it makes me feel more me. Thankfully my boyfriend likes it as well. Of course nothing wrong with people liking white, but I can't see myself living in a house with white walls, ever.
How does that saying go again?! Ermmmm... :P

My boyfriend and I we live in this lovely 30's upstairs apartment which has two floors. Where I love, just love, changing things about. Not just the furniture or accessories, but the colour of the walls as well. Like we did for the living room, which used to be a light grey and a shade of brown colour, but we changed the brown into an amazing blue colour which makes the room look much more funky. Here some before and after pictures.
