Ik zit alweer precies een maand met mijn blog bij Wordpress. Het bevalt echt ontzettend goed. Er is alle vrijheid om je blog te ontwerpen en dat is heel fijn. Fijn omdat mijn lief dat heel goed kan en dat vind ik, iets heel moois heeft gemaakt. Ik merk dat er nog steeds veel verkeer deze kant op komt en zelfs sommige mensen mij nog op dit blog zijn gaan volgen. Ik kocht een glazen vaasje bij een kringloop hier in de buurt. En bedacht me dat ik dat ook al heel lang doe: glazen vaasjes kopen. En het blijft niet bij alleen maar vaasjes kopen, dat zou wel heel minimaal zijn toch?! Dus toen kreeg ik het idee voor deze post. Wat verzamel ik eigenlijk nog meer?
I bought a glass vase at a thrift shop nearby. And realised I've been doing this for quite some time now: buy glass vases. And it's not the only thing I collect. That would be quite dull right?! So that's how I came up with this post. What more do I collect?!
Ik ben vandaag aan het knutselen geslagen. Goed voor de ontspanning. Maar ook om toch iets meer van Pasen in huis te hebben dan alleen die twee vilten gansjes die bij ons in het raam staan. Het is een slinger geworden met vilten vormpjes van een ei, konijn en een kippetje eraan. Mijn lief gaat morgen een bestelling plaatsen bij ons bakkertje voor lekkere dingen voor ons paasontbijt en nu met deze slinger erbij...wat kan er nog mis gaan? :P Trouwens, er staat met Pasen iets spannends te gebeuren. Hou mijn blog in de gaten!
Today I did some crafting. It's very good for relaxation. But not only that. I wanted a bit more Easter decoration in our home than the two felt geese in our window. So I made this garland with felt eggs, rabbits and chickens. My sweetheart is going to our bakery in the morning to order yummy things for our Easter breakfast. And with this garland, what can go wrong now? :P By the way, something really exciting is going to happen this Easter. Stay tuned!
Nee, ik moet er ook niet aan denken dat ze in legioenen hier in ons huis aanwezig zijn. Dat ze over het aanrecht kruipen of langs mijn hoofd zoeven. Maar ik vind ze inspirerend. En wanneer ze onder de loep worden genomen bij van die natuurprogramma's, sta ik er versteld van hoe ijverig ze zijn. Insekten! In huis vooral leuk op posters, printjes op servies en allerlei ander leuks. :D
It would be kind of a nightmare to have loads of them in your home. To see them crawl over the sink and have them whizzing close to your ear. But still, I find them inspiring. And when you're able to have a closer look during a nature program, I'm surprised how eager they are. Insects! Indoors appreciated on posters, coffeecup prints and other lovely items. :D
Mooie meubels kunnen me heus blij maken. Een fijn gekleurde muur ook. Maar het meest gelukkig word ik van de kleine dingen in ons huis. Die dingen die warme en blije herinneringen dragen en een lach op m'n gezicht kunnen toveren. Ik hoop dat jullie het leuk vinden om even mee te kijken en te zien welke dingen dat nu zijn.
Nice furniture can make me happy. A funky coloured wall as well. But the happiest I get from the little things in our home. The things that hold warm and fun memories and put a smile on my face. Hopefully you'll like having a look at the things I'm talking about.
Vandaag wat fotootjes die me nog meer laten dagdromen. Iets wat ik de laatste tijd meer doe dan ooit. Mooie ruimtes, fijne kleuren, leuke meubels en tja...dan die paaseitjes. Wat zit erin, hoe smaken ze? Altijd weer een verrassing. Net zoals het leven eigenlijk. Onmogelijk om het te plannen. Weer zo'n ding van vroeger waar ik weer even in moet komen. Maar wat is het een leuk werkje. Er mankeert nog van alles aan. Maar ik ga door. Zal er nog meer maken. En dan zullen ze mooier worden. Tenminste, dat hoop ik. :D

Zijn ze niet mooi? Deze doosjes met thee. Ik zocht ze uit op de print. Ja, zo ben ik ook wel weer. Maar ik vind de kleuren ook zó mooi. En één met een olifant. Ben gék op olifanten. Gelukkig smaakt de thee ook nog eens heerlijk. Fijne zondag. Eindelijk zomertijd.
Aren't they gorgeous? These boxes filled with tea. I picked them because of their prints. Quite silly maybe. But I simply adore the colours. And one box has an elephant on it. I lóve elephants. Luckily the tea tastes extremely good. Have a lovely sunday. Summertime, finally.
Wat kan je daar naar uit kijken, hè?! Zoiets simpels. De postbode komt immers bijna elke dag langs. Dus zo bijzonder is dat niet. Maar wel als je leuke dingen verwacht. Vandaag ontving ik mijn #vrijdagmiddagkadootje via Studio Stationery. Zomerse rolletjes masking tape waar ik geen genoeg van kan hebben. En ik heb ze zomaar gekregen omdat ik mazzel had. Hoe leuk is dat?! En verder ontving ik ook nog twee prachtige stofjes van Studio Saartje. Ook al zo vrolijk van kleur.
En gisteren ontving ik eindelijk mijn hoodie van Bonnie and Buttermilk waar ik al eerder over blogde. Ik zeg eindelijk om ik 'm immers al half Februari had besteld. Maar ik had zelf een heel suffe fout gemaakt. Ik had nl. een verkeerd huisnummer doorgegeven.*schaam* Ik weet van mezelf dat mijn hoofd de laatste tijd erg vol gestampt zit, maar hoe ik er nu bij kom om een heel ander huisnummer in te vullen?! Anyways, ik ben er heel blij mee en die meiden leveren echt een super service dus ik zou zeggen ga eens rondneuzen op hun webshop. Fijn weekend!!!
It's not really weird to be looking forward to it, right?! I mean OK, he/she does come by practically every day, so nothing new there. But this time I was waiting for some fun things to arrive. Today I received three rolls of masking tape from Studio Stationery. I got them because I just got lucky. How great is that? And from Studio Saartje I received two pieces of gorgeous fabric. I'm so in love with the colours.
And yesterday I finally received my hoodie from Bonnie and Buttermilk which I blogged about before. I say finally because I already ordered it in February. But I made a really stupid mistake myself. I wrote down a completely wrong number of my address. *embarrassing* I know my head's full with lots of things lately, but still. But I'm very thrilled to have received it now. And the girls from Bonnie and Buttermilk provide such an outstanding service. So make sure to have a look in their webshop. Have a good weekend!!!

Eigenlijk zou ik normaal niet zo snel het kleinste kamertje van het huis laten zien. Net zoals de slaapkamer, zulke kamers voelen nogal privé voor mij. Maar ik ben best blij met het resultaat van wat ik vandaag heb gedaan. Dus toch maar even wat subtiele fotootjes gemaakt. Alle kamers in ons huis zijn behoorlijk uitbundig maar dit kamertje bleef behoorlijk achter. En aangezien je er toch regelmatig zit en het voorjaar is losgebarsten kon het na vandaag niet meer achterblijven op de andere kamers. De grijze sterren zaten er al. Ik heb heel simpel wat masking tape gebruikt en bij gebrek aan leuke gekleurde vierkante foto's op dit moment, wat vrolijk inpakpapier gebruikt. Easy peasy toch?!
Never thought I would put up pictures of the smallest room of our house. Just like the bedroom I find this quite private. But seeing as I'm quite pleased with the result I shot a few subtle pictures today. Every room of our home is quite colourful but this one was quite behind on the rest. But as we do come here quite often and springtime has started, it needed to catch up. The grey stars were already there. I simply added some masking tape. And because I don't have any fun square coloured pictures at the moment, I used some fun wrapping paper. Easy peasy right?!
Niet alleen is het vandaag een heuglijke dag omdat de Lente is begonnen en ook nog eens het zonnetje lekker scheen. Nee, ik heb nog meer goed nieuws: Het is ook nog eens Macaron Dag. Jammer is wel dat we niet in Parijs wonen en daar nu de real deal kunnen eten zoals mijn lief en ik afgelopen zomer deden. Maar toch...de dag van het lekkere koekje hebben we te danken aan Pierre Hermé, de Macaronkoning. En met dan maar een plaatje van die heerlijke zoetigheid luid ik graag met jullie de Lente in. Fijne Lente allemaal!
Today is not only a fun day because Spring has started and because here in The Netherlands the sun was shining. No, it was not only that. Today is also an official Macaron Day. Unfortunately we don't live in Paris and we're able to eat the real deal there, just like my love and I did last summer. But still, Macaron Day is a fact all thanks to Pierre Hermé, the Macaronking. And because I'm short of the real yummy cookies, I'd like to celebrate the start of Spring with this sweet picture. Happy Spring everybody!
Ik vind dit zó leuk! Mijn lief die voor mij mijn nieuwe blogje maakt. Ben ontzettend trots hoe hij daar zit achter zijn MacBook Pro, helemaal druk voor mij. Maar hij vindt dit werk ontzettend leuk om te doen dus we hebben dikke mazzel met elkaar. ♥
En hier is het dan. Een klein stukje. Ik vind het zo mooi! Zo mijn smaak, zo ik. Dus binnenkort ga ik verhuizen van Blogger naar Wordpress. Spannend!

Overal staat wel iets wat ik best graag in ons eigen huis zou willen hebben. Ja, zo'n huis werkt erg inspirerend. Goed weekend allemaal!

Wat was het vandaag ontzettend mooi weer hè?!! Ik heb er zo van genoten. Ben heerlijk met de hond het park in geweest hier dichtbij ons huis. Het was er heel fijn stil, bijna niemand te bekennen. Net wat ik nodig heb, die rust. Door het zonnige weer kwam ik ook helemaal in de vakantiestemming en begon een beetje te dagdromen. En kwam tot deze post, niet verkeerd toch?!

It was such a lovely weather today. I really enjoyed it, took the dog to the park nearby our home. It was so nice and quiet there, exactly what I needed. And because of the sun I started to daydream about going away on holiday. That's why I came up with today's blogpost. Not the worst place right?!

Ik was wat aan het rondneuzen op het internet toen ik op het meest schattige en blije tafelgerei ooit stuitte. Meteen dacht ik 'hebben, hebben, hebben' want het is helemaal waar ik op val. Deze snoepjes komen van de hand van Camila Prada wiens thuisbasis Engeland is. Ik zag op haar website dat er binnenkort nog meer moois komt. Wauw, ik zie het al helemaal staan bij ons in de keuken en op tafel... :P
I was browsing on the net when I bumped into the cutest and funniest tableware on this planet. 'Want, want, want' is what I thought because this is soooo my cup of tea. These gorgeous little things are made by Camila Prada who lives in England. On her website I saw that soon there will be a few new things, just as cute as all the others. *Drool* I already see it standing in our kitchen and our dining table... :P
Ik heb vandaag voor het eerst in mijn leven een make up tasje gemaakt. Behalve dat ik het ook erg leuk vond om te doen ben ik ook best tevreden met het resultaat. Het verdiend heus niet de schoonheidsprijs, maar oefening baart kunst toch?!
Today for the first time in my life I made a make up bag. I not only just really enjoyed making it but I'm also quite pleased with the result. OK, it isn't the prettiest of all make up bags but hey, practice makes perfect, right?!
